Christian is a Vampire, turned during the June Rebellions in France, 1832, at the tender age of 29. His sire, Eliazar, had found him dying in a gutter and had seen something in the young man. Thus, Christian's life was changed forever, as Eliazar shared with him his dreams of vampires finally being on top of the pecking order for once.

While trying to adjust to his new life and the conflict he felt over Eliazar's plans, Christian killed Eliazar's wife, going on the run from his sire and brother. Throughout the years, Christian was determined to be a different man, but the call to arms would always be heard by him. He fought in many wars, coming close to death many times, but he survived long enough to become a member of the French Ministry, working as a member of the ICoW.

Not long afterwards, he was asked to be the Minister for Magic, a position he took and loved for many years. He fought with Pyralis to stop Sovereign and Hydra, meeting a woman there he quickly fell in love with. Christian was no stranger to love, as throughout his two hundred and thirty years he had been married a few times before, but he was getting old, and the thought of watching her grow old and slip away from him gnaws at the back of his mind.

Since Pyralis' victory over Hydra, Christian has "stepped down" as the Minister for Magic, effectively told that there is no place for vampires in this world anymore. He sought out his sire, finally agreeing to become a part of his vampire army, although he has plans to stop him.

Christian has also joined forced with Sophie Miller to create a force for good, of sorts, to deal with the problems that the powers that be aren't. Things aren't quite right in the world, and he intends to make sure this changes.

Kaja was born in the small fishing village of Aarhus in Denmark to a single mother, who tried her hardest to raise her. Trapped in a town with so many memories haunting her, Kaja did the only thing she could this of - she ran. She eventually found her way to Copenhagen, where the GMS Kobold was waiting. They were in need of a chef, so she joined.

After a while aboard the ship, she found herself getting involved with Euan, the chief engineer aboard the Kobold, and it was shortly after this that Elijah joined the crew. Kaja told him about their child and her fate. She began to cope with this when tragedy struck. The Kobold sank off of the coast of the British Isles while trying to gain access. Access was denied because of the closed borders, and so lives were lost. She and Euan are now living in London and working where they can to survive, while also trying to cope with what happened.

Róisín is a lot like most mothers you see in TV and Film. She seems like a soft and lovable mother, but should her children step out of line or anyone tries to mess with them, the momma bear comes out. She began to take odd jobs to survive, eventually finding a position she loved at Gem's. Working the pole gave her a chance to let out her frustration, but she still wasn't sure of what being a wolf met. She eventually ran into Ian and his wolf pack, joining them and loving this new lease of life it gave her. However she didn't agree with the way that Ian ran the pack, and in the end she set out on her own.

Santiago is not a very nice man. He is the middle child of three children, born to a mother and father who couldn't care less about them. His older brother was the one to raise them, showing him that you sometimes had to do what was necessary in life to survive.

Andromeda, prefers to be called Andi, but tolerates being called by her full name, is the second oldest of the Steele-Hathaway children. Growing up she was always closer to her mother, and so when she remarried she was happy for her. She didn't hold the same suspicions about it like her baby brother did.

She also doesn't quite understand Quidditch. She watches matches and always goes to the stadium when the Wasps play to support her brother Wash, but she doesn't get the rules. He's explained them to her so many times but they just don't make sense, and so she jokes that it is just 14 people playing with their balls in public. Even with the Wasps' manager, Xander, explaining the rules, she is still clueless.

She prefers to spend time in the garage at home, working on whatever car someone has dropped off for her to look at. It has become Andi's job, which is perfect for her. She can work when she wants, and it means she can have Maggie close by, just in case.

Since the age of 11, Andie has suffered with epilepsy. She takes medication for it, which mostly keeps it under control, but she still has seizures. They just aren't as severe as they used to be. Maggie is her seizure alert dog, warning her when she needs to go and lie down to protect herself. Despite this she doesn't see herself as vulnerable.

The only child of an American-Irish father and a Korean-American mother, Donn Jeong (better known to his friends as DJ) showed great potential growing up. He was quick to pick up new things, and when his father's magical abilities manifested themselves in him, a whole new world opened up to him.

She barely makes enough money each month to pay the bills and rent, and with Avery starting to show signs of magic, she doesn't know what to do. Ellie is the youngest daughter of a middle class halfblood family, much to her frustration. She has always longed for more from life, to have money to throw around, and so she has pretended to be from wealth pretty much all of her life. She was never particularly close to her parents growing up, unlike her older sister, and was always more independent. She only really went to her parents for money, and even when she needed it, she liked to try and find it some other way.

She and her sister attended a private primary school, but they were both the subject of bullying. The school did little to stop it, simply telling the bullies to leave the girls alone. This was the beginning of Ellie's hatred of authority.

Her sister did what their parents told them to, keeping her head down and ignoring it. Unfortunately, Eleanor had a short-fuse, and so she began to fight back. Eventually her parents decided to find an outlet for the anger, especially as Ellie was often outnumbered in the fights. She wanted to learn to defend herself, and became particularly adept at martial arts of the Filipino style.

When she attended Hogwarts she was sorted into Gryffindor, and while she paid attention to her studies, she spent more time focusing on ways to elevate herself. She made friends with those in high places, and even when she came to the realisation that she was a lesbian, she continued her relationships with men. She saw it as simply an easy way to move up the classes and elevate her status.

When she left Hogwarts she moved from job to job, doing anything that she could to earn more money. She spent a lot of time in the Goblin Casino, playing the money she earned during the day to try and win more each evening. Sometimes she was successful, but other times she ended up owing money.

Owing money to a casino is never a good thing, but thankfully, she was able to convince the owners to let her work for them, in a way. She put her skills in martial arts to good use, beginning to pay customers visits and "persuade" them to part with their money. This, eventually, got her into the Zodiacs, where she could go further with her skills and see the look on the faces of others when she pulled out the knives.

She stopped working for the casino and instead continued as a customer, though she still owed them a debt. Thankfully, her sister married into money. She married a men of wealth, although Ellie and her brother-in-law did not get along. He is yet another authority figure that Eleanor cannot stand. This simply gave Ellie another reason to ask her sister for money, as it would cause problems between her older sister and her brother-in-law.

She still does not get on well with authority figures, which might be why she clashes with the Dragon so much and loves seeing others wind him up. Ellie might be good with knives and good at her job, but she still has a short fuse, and one day it is going to land her into a hell of a lot of trouble.

Minerva, named after her great aunt Minerva McGonagall, is the oldest of the Howard children. Technically, she was a "mistake". Her conception and birth was never intended, but it brought her parents together, so it can't have been bad, right?

Although she idolized her father, she took a lot after her mother, even becoming a Ravenclaw when she started at Hogwarts. Even at such a young age, partying didn't have the same appeal to her as curling up in front of the fire with a book did. As a result, she is a little socially awkward.

Minerva is also very intelligent, and is quite independent. While she accepts that she will sometimes need the help of others, her independent nature and socially awkwardness can make it difficult for her to ask, and so she can come across as aloof.

Upon leaving Hogwarts she started working at the Ministry of Magic, following in her father's footsteps and eventually coming an auror. She wanted to make him proud of her, but then it happened. Her father went missing, and when they found him, he was not the same anymore. Suffering from PTSD, Alistair Howard began to self-medicate with alcohol and pills, which led to his eventual death by overdose.

His death had a huge impact on Minerva. The man that she idolized had never returned from his final mission... instead, the ghost of the father she loved had faded away. She once used to follow in her father's footsteps religiously, and now she is terrified that the same might happen to her. She is a lot more cautious when working, and this caution has translated to her personal life. She doesn't really go out that much, but after a little convincing from her friends and family she went to the recent Ministry Ball. There she met a man she found herself drawn to... but will she be able to let herself be a normal human being?

Niamh is the only child to Sean and Maria Doherty. Her family weren't exactly wealthy growing up, but they liked to pretend. She'd always tried to watch matches growing up, but her parents didn't allow it. So she watched them at her grandparents. Granddad Cullen even hid small golden chocolate eggs in the garden for her to find, and when he passed Grandma Cullen tried to continue the tradition. Her parents always stopped the fun though when they picked her up. At Hogwarts though, there was no stopping her. She learned all that she could about the sport, finally getting onto the Hufflepuff team in her fourth year. She loved it, and kept her role on the team a secret from her parents. Her eagle eyes made her perfect to play seeker, but an accident involving a bludger and a fall during a match against Gryffindor during her 7th year meant that her parents were pretty insistent on her never getting back on a broom.

To appease her parents, she went to college and learned about fashion... but in her spare time, she was out on the pitch. She eventually was picked up for the Ballycastle Bats, and did well there for a few years. She even started a romance with one of her fellow players, but it didn't work out. With tensions running high, she ended up changing teams.

That is how she ended up a Falcon. While the rest of her team are happy to play dirty, she doesn't get involved. She prefers to sit above it all, looking down and waiting for her moment to grab the snitch. Her parents were not a fan of her chosen career. It isn't very lady-like, and while it bothers her that she has never had their approval, she can't give up Quidditch.

But Quidditch isn't her only love. She's fallen for her team mate, Johnny. It wasn't planned, it wasn't something she expected to happen (and trust me, it was a shock for the writers of these two punks as well), but all of the times they have hung out meant that she'd fallen in love with him. Not long into their official relationship they decided to move in together, getting engaged on the same day. They were married just over a month later, because they have no chill. It was a small ceremony with just the official, Johnny's parents, and his youngest sister. Niamh's parents were not in attendance, as they disowned her the moment she told them that she was getting married. It was a choice between them and the things that made her happy, and for the first time in her life she chose to put herself first.

Even as a child, Ellison could never sit still. Born as the only child to muggle parents, he was constantly on the move. He was around eight years old when he began to show signs of magic. He was in the back garden, running around with friends and pretending they were sword fighting with sticks, when sparks began to fly from his hand. In his mind, they came from the wand, and that was when his obsession with magic and magic wands began.

Ellison eventually went to Hogwarts, where he was sorted into Hufflepuff. At the time, Ellison had absolutely no idea about the Hogwarts Houses. He was just happy to be there, and sat down next to a girl who would become a very good friend to him.

They grew close, as best friends do, and in a way many people expected them to end up together. They were the couple people believed would just marry each other eventually, Dotty and Ellis. They had a moment, an almost moment, when they finished Hogwarts. It didn't go as far as it could, but it still happened... a big fat what if that Ellison has been thinking about a lot lately.

Over time, the two stopped being so close. They were both busy with work and then with their relationships. Ellison's job as a wand creator at Amestris Wand Creations took him all around the world, so he was rarely there. What a boring life Gaerwen was leading before her magical powers manifested themselves! Leliana had always shown promise, even from a very early age. She was an intelligent child, picking up on things very quickly. He loves his job, but you know what else he loves? Music. Music is something that gives him the chance to unwind when he's been spending time fighting fires. He loses himself in the music, which is how he met Al and Val.

Oliver is also involved in a Dungeons and Dragons campaign. Yes, really. It all started because his brother wanted to go along and play the table top role playing game, but he didn't want to go alone. Being the amazing brother that Ollie is, he offered to go with him and just hang around. Cait wasn't having any of that, and helped him create his charismatic Tiefling Bard. Born into a family with a strong military history, it seemed that Benjamin William Thorne was destined to followed in his mother's footsteps. At school he did well in a number of subjects, studying hard and putting the effort in. He didn't really have much time for friends, keeping only a few close acquaintances during his academic years.

In his later school years, the careers fair came to school. They had stalls set up for a number of different areas, but there was only really one that Ben was interested in. He got all of the information he needed and started a promising military career as soon as he left formal education.

He did well in the army, rising up through the ranks and becoming a Captain at the age of 25. He got put in charge of a group of soldiers out on tour, and it was there that he met her. An army medic with the group, the two grew close... far closer than was allowed. An intense affair started, and when the tour was over, they still managed to sneak off together.

But things change. Over the years he ended up being promoted to Colonel by the time he was 33, and he was given another team to be in charge of. She moved on too, and they lost contact... for all of two years.

Somehow the powers that be found out about the affair. It destroyed both of their military careers, with Benjamin being discharged from service. To this day he still believes that she told them... though he doesn't know why she would.

Being dismissed in such a way made it extremely hard for him to find work, and so he decided to set up his own private security company: Aegis. He has a small team of security working under him, and they cover a huge range of events. Sometimes, Ben is asked to do bodyguard type things and has been on training in a number of different countries to keep up his skills. Now he's just trying to get on with his life.

Even at a young age he found socialising easy, and was able to strike up a conversation with just about anybody. He also got into trouble. A lot. His parents had hoped that going to Hogwarts would sort him out, but alas, he was sorted into Gryffindor... the house of the brave, the daring, and those with nerve. His class mates only encouraged him, but it was at Hogwarts that he fell in love with Quidditch.

He played as the house keeper for most of his years at Hogwarts, and that love never left him even when he graduated with a mix of pass and fail grades. He began to play for a few minor Quidditch teams, passing from team to team for about five years before he was picked up by a major team: the Chudley Cannons. After just a year with them he moved to the Wigtown Wanderers, where he stayed for three years. But then the Tutshill Tornados found him, and that is where he stayed until he retired from Quidditch. Even though his body, at the point of retiring, was too old to play the game, he was still a big fan. Staying away seemed impossible, and so he began to work in the bar on the edge of Queerditch Marsh, where Quidditch began.

After many years working there, he ended up owning the place. He's stayed there this entire time, because he isn't the type to go quietly into the night. He is currently working on plans to open a Quidditch Museum there, turning the small tavern into 'The Museum on the Marsh', complete with a restaurant and bar. It is going to be big, if Tim has any say in it.

He is divorced, but still has a great relationship with his ex, and has a grandson he loves with all of his heart. He's ridiculously proud that the kiddo is playing Quidditch, and has now taken it upon himself to follow all Falcon matches... whether in person or from the comfort of the bar. Lauryn was born to muggles Eustace and Muriel in their lovely little cottage in Dublin. Everything seemed perfectly fine for the couple for a long time. Isabella comes from a relatively small Spanish family, which means she knows how important family is. She'll do anything for hers, though it wasn't always that way. William was an only child born to parents who didn't really want children. They saw him as more of a pest than anything, so it wasn't surprising when he was passed off onto social services for them to deal with.

He was a pest to so many people. He grew up in London, bouncing from foster home to foster home until he finally settled with a nice family who gave him a name he could be proud of. They put him to work, answering phones and taking bookings at his adopted dad's place of work. It was a tedious job but it earned him a little bit of money when he needed it. He came to learn all about the streets of London through working here, and when he left high school he began to work for the company as a driver.

It is the same company he works for now. The problem is that there isn't really anywhere you can go from being a taxi driver. That's it. So he has to work a lot of hours, especially to support the lifestyle of living in London. But he felt like he was coasting through life a little, at least until he met her.

Vanessa was born in Cape Town and spent the majority of her formative years there. Zhanna Tolstaia comes from an old pureblood family, and has a mix of Russian, Estonian, and English blood... though it is mostly Russian. Her great-grandfather (also Bronte's great-grandfather) was Russian, and her great-grandmother was Estonian. The rest of her family, up until her mother, were Russian. Despite this, Zhanna's great-grandmother took great pride in teaching the family their Estonian heritage, and so Zhanna became fluent in the language, as well as her mother-tongue of Russian.

She attended Durmstrang, and it was here that her intense pureblood heritage was challenged. There was a boy in her year that she became very fast friends with. It wasn't until later in the friendship that she discovered that he was muggleborn. Having been raised into such deep-rooted pureblood families, this news was a struggle to come to terms with. For a few weeks at school she kept her distance, but during those three weeks she realised that it truly didn't make a difference. He was still her friend, and this resulted in a huge shift in Zhanna's personality. Up until this point, at the tender age of twelve, she'd been very closed off from others. Not any more. She was much more open to others, and made an active effort to include everyone. She's always been a 'nice' person, but this helped her put her ignorance and prejudice aside.

The two stayed friends for a long time, and when this friend took a job in the UK, shortly after graduation Zhanna saw it as the perfect chance to continue to expand her horizons. So she moved with him. She's been living in the UK ever since, getting a job at first in an animal shelter. She loved it there as she got to work with animals she loved, but found that the shelter itself wasn't right for her. She needed to do something and make a difference somewhere, and it is then that she saw a drive for recruitment at St. Mungo's. She had the qualifications to start training, thanks to Durmstrang, and so she took a new path in life, one that she hasn't turned her back on. She is only recently fully qualified as a healer, being assigned to the incurable diseases ward at St. Mungo's, and though it is tough she wouldn't change it for the world.

She can always be found with headphones in, jamming away to music, or even heading with her best friend to a pub to enjoy some live music. She's a lively, bubbly person. She'll strike up a conversation with anyone and really cares about how others are doing and loves animals. That said, she isn't a push-over. If she sees something she doesn't agree with she won't stay quiet about it. She'll tell you just what she thinks. Zhanna's eyes have very much been opened up to the prejudices of the world and how they are causes such harm to others. It has turned her into a little bit of an activist. Piper was born into a reasonably well off Australian pureblood family. Her parents didn't buy into the pureblood thing. They just married and settled down because they loved each other. Crazy, right? For Piper and her twin sister Madison, they had to get used to being called blood traitors. They saw people rather than bloodlines, and even when they went to school they had to deal with some of the "elite" looking down on them.

The twins couldn't have been more different. Piper was the one who liked to go outside and explore. She was always off on adventures, climbing things she shouldn't be climbing and coming home covered in mud. Her sister, on the other hand, loved was reluctant to get muddy. She'd rather put on a pretty dress than jeans, and she liked to sit inside of read. She didn't understand Piper's fascination with creatures, especially magical ones, and Piper didn't understand how Maddy could sit inside when there was a whole world to explore.

At the Australian magical school they attended, the two were sorted into different houses, and proved to be proficient in a number of different subjects. Madison had plans to continue her studies and become a historian of romantic literature, while Piper longed for excitement and developed a fascination with dragons. Once the two had graduated, their father took Piper on a camping trip to Dunedin in New Zealand, in the hope that they might see some dragons in flight. When they returned home after a weekend spotting dragons, they discovered that Madison was not at home, and their mother was distraught.

Maddy was gone, and a few of her things had gone with her. Piper didn't know where her sister had gone but felt angry about it. How could her sister abandon her like that? They spoke to the police and aurors, who suspected she might have run off with a boyfriend. But then they found her body. Exactly what happened isn't clear, but it tore the family apart. Piper's parents divorced, and few up of being trapped in the middle she left the country to study dragons and learn more.

After some study in Europe she qualified as a dragonologist, eventually settling in Romania for work, though she still continued to travel Europe when needed to discover new species of dragon. Her sister's mysterious disappearance and death, however, has had a huge impact on her. She has become a bit of a thrill seeker, even more so than previously.
